As a Game Designer on AI People, I was responsible for integrating large language models (LLMs) into gameplay through systemic dialogue and behavior structures. I led the design of adaptive conversations, mission logic, and puzzle progression mechanics—crafting natural-feeling interactions with AI-driven NPCs. I authored modular dialogue templates, designed prompt structures for branching behaviors, and built LLM-integrated blueprints to support immersive, contextually responsive gameplay. Additionally, I collaborated closely with AI researchers to tune training data for improved player outcomes.
LLM Prompt Engineering: Translating narrative and design goals into effective prompt structures while preventing hallucinations or inconsistencies in NPC behavior.
Adaptive Dialogue Systems: Designing scalable systems that could dynamically respond to player intent while retaining narrative cohesion and goal clarity.
Behavior Tree Design: Building flexible behavior trees that integrated traditional gameplay logic with probabilistic LLM outputs.
Cross-Team Alignment: Coordinating between research, engineering, and design teams to ensure AI systems were both technically feasible and player-centric.
Balancing Agency & Coherence: Preserving the player’s sense of agency in conversations while ensuring logical and narratively grounded interactions.
